THE MUSICIANS
MATTEO FERRARI (FLUTE)
Matteo Ferrari graduated from the Conservatory in Mantua and later perfectionated himself with the best international flutists. He participated in festivals of contemporary music playing music by John Cage. He collaborated as solist with composer Salvatore Sciarrino with the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra Este Oedipus (Reggio Emilia). He collaborated with Nobel laureate Dario Fò playing in his version of Peter and the Wolf. He was as well soloist with the European Community Youth Orchestra in Lanciano (Chieti).
He received awards in several national and international competitions. His teaching arrangements are published and distributed internationally by Carish.
ANDREA CANDELI (GUITAR)
Graduated in 1993 in guitar with Vincenzo Saldarelli and Florindo Baldissera, Andrea Candeli continued the study of classical guitar specializing in Paris with Alberto Ponce and also participated in numerous master classes held by the Masters Saldarelli, Wheat, Gorio, Nannoni, Salvetti.
He was awarded as a soloist in numerous national and international competitions including the Concours "Riviera dei Fiori" in Alassio (1st Prize), the Competition Pasquale in Genoa (1st Prize), the competition “Giovane Promessa” (Gargano), the “International Competition of Chamber Music" in Forli, etc.
He has premiered a work by contemporary authors and in 1995 he was awarded the prestigious "Premio Ghirlandina" from Modena city for distinguishing himself in the artistic field of music. In the same year the City of Pavullo through the Chorale Montecuccoli, gave to Andrea Candeli the Diploma of Honor and Gold Medal for merits music. His concert activity as soloist, soloist with orchestra, and in various chamber ensembles, has led him to play in ty cited as: Rome, Milan, Naples, Caserta, Venezia, Piacenza, Pesaro, and abroad in Scotland, France, Spain, Mexico.
He works as Artistic Director for several musical series organized by municipalities, associations and theaters. Recently he performed live in Vatican City at Sala Nervi in the presence of the Pope.
